New Island Park Pavilion

Century Center is happy to introduce the newest downtown landmark, Island Park Pavilion. Completed in May, the Century Center's new pavilion, located on its 11 acre Island Park, is a permanent tensile membrane structure.

Matt Rose, Director of Sales & Marketing for the Century Center, describes the finished product as a "unique venue unlike anything that can be found in Michiana, located just steps away from all of the features and benefits Century Center offers."

Architect Bill Lamie of ADG, Inc., the firm commissioned by the City to build the structure, explains that the goal was "to design a pavilion that embodies the many aspects of future downtown development, particularly along our riverfront and compliments the architecture of the Century Center."

The Pavilion’s form and function make it ideal for large and small events alike, including the many lunches, receptions and wedding ceremonies that are already booked for the venue.

One of the first events to make use of the updated space was Meet Me at the Falls, a public concert fundraiser for Ronald McDonald House Charities featuring local band Vyagra Falls, on June 1.

Island Park’s new landscape, highly visible to pedestrian and automobile traffic, aims to draw people in and invite them to discover all that Century Center offers. Call the Sales office at 574-235-9711 to book your next event!
